On the way to the US Navy Memorial....it was fun to walk around in this part of town too. Some of the buildings seemed older, and it was quite picturesque. We commented too on how clean the city is, at least compared to many others.

I found the WWII memorial impressive. Why did it take so long for us to get one, though? Oh, BTW, there are two parts to this memorial, marking the two parts of the war: the Pacific and Atlantic battlefronts. This was almost impossible to capture with my camera.

It poured Sat. morning as we made our way to the Holocaust museum, so we arrived wet and promptly chilled. Our tickets were for the 3:00 time, so we went back outside eventually and found the day had grown bloomy with sun, so we successfully dried off as we walked around Memorial Park.

In the Wright Brother's room at the Air and Space Museum, which we had about 5 minutes to enjoy. Our film tickets were for 8:15, and the museum closed at 7:30, so they shoooooed us out it seemed rather ungraciously, and as early as possible. We were peeved by the lack of PR some of the guards showed. But the film was worth it! Night at the Museum II made me laugh until I had laugh-tears!
